LOVE SONGS FOR OUR PLANET
in support of
EnVision: Environmental Education Through the Arts

LOVE SONGS FOR OUR PLANET

A project of EnVision

Environmental Education through the Arts

Bringing attention to the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and the Climate Crisis

VISION: A dozen or more major recording artists will write and record original "Love Songs for Our Planet,” raising funds for environmental education in our schools and communities.

The proceeds from these recordings will support the 2020 Vision: Environmental Education Fund for the creation of new arts-inspired educational programs and on-line videos to raise awareness of our climate crisis and what we can do about it.

Artists representing diverse cultures and traditions and artistic disciplines will be commissioned to develop engaging 45-minute school assembly programs, workshops and residencies, aligned with core curriculum standards, with teacher and student study guides and online content. The 45-minute programs will also be presented in public performance venues and festivals nationwide, and will be available online.

The project will serve the dual purpose of educating students (and parents) to become better stewards of our planet, while in turn providing meaningful and remunerative work for performing and recording artists -- many of whom are struggling to make ends meet during this Covid crisis.
