Financial Aid or Sponsorship Options
Carpe Diem Arts strives to make camp possible for anyone who really wants to be there. We recognize the benefits of a diverse group of fully-engaged campers.
With the generous support of donors and grantors, we offer Financial Aid at a 25% discount for those suffering from financial hardship. We also award a few Sponsorship spots each year, at no cost to campers' families, who are often recent immigrants to the United States.
For more information, please contact us at camps@carpediemarts.org.
"Camp was fun because we did a lot of things and I made new friends, the campers were really nice and the staff too. One part that I loved about camp was that we always had the chance to speak freely and give our opinions on topics that we were learning and also because there were a lot of fun activities to do."

We have excellent camp staff who have experience working with children in camp settings.
Carpe Diem Arts will not tolerate bullying, violence, smoking, alcohol, illicit drugs, or any other behavior that jeopardizes the emotional and physical well-being of our campers. Loss of camp privileges may result, depending on the circumstances, bearing in mind our primary goal is the positive development of young people.
Carpe Diem Arts welcomes female-identifying and non-binary youth to apply. With a mission of inspiring creative self-expression and bringing people together through the arts, we aim to support and uplift the LGBTQIA+ community in an inclusive manner. We lead with love and provide a safe, creative space for all campers.
A Message from the 2024 Camp Director, Beth Brooks Mwano (she/they)
I am thrilled to be planning all three weeks of camp again this year, and I look forward to working closely with Madona Tyler LeBlanc this year. Madona will be Assistant Director in weeks two and three, and we will have a new Acting Camp Director for week one. We are excited to bring you a mix of art and movement, on-site activities and field trips, and some faithful traditions thrown in.
Some of you might remember me from the past three summers at Carpe Diem Arts' sleep-away camps on the Shore. I am currently a Special Education Teacher teaching Horticulture. I also teach dance and am a yoga therapist. I love to sing and act a bit as well. I bring music and movement into as much of my life as possible! I have partnered with several non-profits in artistic collaboration, including Dance Exchange in Takoma Park, BodyWise Dance, and, of course, Carpe Diem Arts.
Madona and I can't wait to play, make art, be in awe of nature, bike, boat, make new friendships and go deeper with old ones, ask challenging questions and think creatively about their possible solutions, have good food, be nurtured by amazing artists and have a blast!
