Last week, through your generosity, we surpassed our #GivingTuesday fundraising goal -- successfully transforming the day into #GivingArtsDay!
Thank you to all who made contributions to this campaign. We greatly appreciate your support and commitment to our work in bringing the arts to life in ways that resonate and make a lasting difference.
We are especially grateful for donations this year because state and federal funding for our Youth ArtBeat after-school programs was drastically reduced at one site and completely eliminated at the other (i.e. a $40,000 budget cut down to $10,000). We remain committed to finding the means to continue bringing these quality arts programs to the immigrant and refugee children and families in these housing communities, while also providing meaningful work for artists.
In the coming week, we will kick off our year-end fundraising campaign. Check your mailbox for a special message from iconic folk singer and human rights activist Peggy Seeger about the importance of the arts and her connection to Carpe Diem Arts and Montgomery County.
