Embodied Change: Movement-Based Stories • with Elena Velasco
Two things are certain: we all have a voice and we all have the capacity to create. “Embodied Change” provides the brave space to explore physical expression to *challenges* systems of inequity so we, the collective community, can envision new ways to engage with others and inspire intersectional collaboration. During the workshop, participants will engage in physical activities, community-building improv-based games, and interview-based dramatic narratives to develop a student showcase of movement-based performances that center their responses to current social issues. This workshop will focus on themes of policed bodies and decolonization, especially as they relate to the immigrant and migrant experiences.
